Rate Pad is a calculator and currency converter. It has no user accounts, and the app itself does not collect or send your personal data to us (we run no servers).
Data stored only on your device: your chosen currencies, last amount, calculation history, settings (theme, language, decimals, rate server), downloaded exchange rates, and whether you bought "Remove ads". This data never leaves your device and is deleted when you uninstall the app or clear its data.
Ads: the free version shows ads through Google AdMob, which may collect and use the following to serve and measure ads and prevent fraud: the Advertising ID and other device identifiers, approximate location derived from the IP address, ad interactions, and diagnostics. Where the law requires it (e.g. EU/UK), you are asked for consent first and can change your choice in Settings → Ad privacy options. You can also reset or opt out of personalized ads in your device's Google settings. Details: https://policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites
In-app purchase: "Remove all ads" is a one-time purchase through Google Play (or the App Store). Payments are handled entirely by those stores; we never receive or store your payment details. The app only asks the store for the purchase status in order to turn ads off and to restore the purchase. After purchase the app stops loading ads.
Network access: the app downloads exchange rates from the public service you pick in Settings (ExchangeRate-API: open.er-api.com, Currency API via cdn.jsdelivr.net / currency-api.pages.dev, FloatRates: floatrates.com, Frankfurter: api.frankfurter.dev). These requests contain no personal data, although those providers can see your IP address, as with any internet request.
Children: the app is not directed at children and we do not knowingly collect data from children.
Changes: if this policy changes, this page and the effective date above will be updated.
